In this session I aim to give you a run down listing around 10 of the features I love and telling you what they do and why they are useful.
IBM i 7.3 is a major new release with more enhancements than can easily be counted. But with most people just talking about Temporal support and new OLAP functions, many of these useful new features are being overlooked. I've had the luxury of using 7.3 since January this year as part of IBM's Early Ship Program and this combined with my place on the Common Europe Advisory Council have given me time to explore a few more of the smaller yet very useful new functions.
In this session I aim to give you a run down listing around 10 of the features I love and telling you what they do and why they are useful. Some of these new functions are big, some small but all are beneficial. Even if you are not in s position to upgrade O/S just now, many have been PTF'd back to 7.2 and some 7.1 so it's still worth knowing about.
The aim of the session is to look beyond the headline enhancements and give you a flavour of these smaller but still useful functions that IBM has now delivered and to let you know how easily you could get them.
